Getting Started

How do I get started with Detach90?

After downloading the app, you'll go through a brief onboarding that introduces the 90-day journey. No account or sign-up is required—you can start right away.

Do I need to create an account?

No! Detach90 is designed with your privacy in mind. All your data stays on your device, and no account is required. This means you can use the app without providing any personal information.


Features

What is the 90-Day Journey?

The 90-Day Journey is a structured program designed to support you through the process of detaching from an unhealthy relationship. Each day includes content, reflections, and exercises to help you heal and grow.

What are Relief Tools?

Relief Tools are exercises you can use anytime you're struggling with difficult emotions or feeling the urge to make contact with someone you're trying to move on from. They include breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and other coping strategies.

What is the No Contact Tracker?

The No Contact Tracker helps you maintain and track your streak of not contacting someone you're trying to detach from. It's a motivational tool to help you stay committed to your healing journey.

Can I use the Journal feature?

Yes! The Journal lets you write and reflect on your thoughts and feelings throughout your journey. Free users can create up to 5 journal entries. Full Access users have unlimited journaling.


Purchases

Is Detach90 free?

Detach90 offers core features for free. To unlock Full Access—including the complete 90-day journey, unlimited journaling, and additional relief tools—you can make a one-time purchase.

Is this a subscription?

No. Detach90 uses a one-time purchase model, not a subscription. Pay once and you have Full Access for as long as the app is available and supported. There are no recurring charges.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

If you reinstall the app or get a new device:

  1. Open Detach90
  2. Go to the paywall or settings
  3. Look for "Restore Purchase" option
  4. Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase

Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID or Google account, not to the Detach90 app itself. Full Access may restore automatically. If it doesn't, use Restore Purchase.

I was charged but don't have access. What should I do?

  1. Try the "Restore Purchase" option in the app
  2. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase
  3. Restart the app
  4. If the issue persists, contact us at detach90@brightcode.digital with your order ID or transaction ID (you can forward the purchase confirmation email from Apple/Google)

I bought Full Access—do I keep it forever?

Full Access is a one-time purchase. You keep access for as long as the app is available and supported. There are no recurring charges or expiration dates.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

All your data (journal entries, progress, settings) is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your personal content, and it is not backed up to our servers.

Can I back up my data?

Currently, Detach90 does not have a built-in backup feature. Your data is only stored on your device. If you back up your phone using iCloud (iOS) or Google's backup service (Android), app data may be included depending on your settings.

What happens if I delete the app?

If you delete Detach90 from your device, your on-device data will be deleted from that device, including your journal entries, progress, and settings. If you use iCloud/Android backups, some data may reappear when restoring a backup, depending on your settings.

How do I delete my data?

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by:

  • • Deleting the Detach90 app from your device, or
  • • Clearing app data in your device settings

This will remove your journal entries, progress, and settings from the device.

Is my data private?

Yes! Your journal entries, reflections, and progress are stored only on your device. We never see or have access to this content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.


Technical Support

The app is not working properly. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Close and restart the app
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check that you have enough storage space on your device

If the issue persists, please contact our support team at detach90@brightcode.digital with details about the problem, including your device type and app version.

The app crashed or froze

If the app crashes:

  1. Force close the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Make sure you're running the latest version of the app
  4. Check that your device's operating system is up to date

If crashes continue, please email us with:

  • • Your device model (e.g., iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy S23)
  • • Your operating system version
  • • What you were doing when the crash occurred
